Why crossword puzzles?
When we began PeachTown in January 2020, our intention was to create a Ruston, LA digital magazine. At the time, it had a ‘magazine mode’ template which was built for the latest iPads. Each page of the website simulated a paper magazine page, and some of them included digital crosswords and word searches.
We grew up reading Highlights magazine, which some of you may be familiar with. Our original site layout payed homage to the popular children’s magazine by putting fun and educational games at the forefront of the website, but we eventually abandoned our magazine initiative in favor of a blog.
You can still browse and play all of our digital word searches and crosswords on our games category page. The word searches are especially fun when you complete them using an Apple Pencil or other tablet stylus.

Why Louisiana crosswords?
You’d be surprised at how many people are interested in state puzzles and games–Louisiana parish crosswords specifically. At the time we created this article, we couldn’t find one that included all 64 parishes, so we decided to make our own!
