Ruston, Louisiana is a beautiful city, especially during snow days. We love showcasing Ruston in its various iterations, and the snow in January 2021 gave us the unique opportunity to do so. Here are photos of our favorite locations as well as new locations to check out if you haven’t already:
Sanctuary
Once upon a time, I was married, and the reception was held here…
The fountain and pavilion at Ruston Historic Fire Station make elegant props for your photo shoot. Visit when you can…you won’t be disappointed.
Cook’s Atonement

Cook’s Atonement is essential to the PeachTown journey. Introverts will find refuge in this location hidden away from the eyes of R.L. Cook.
Top of the City

‘Top of the City’ is the first photography we took of Ruston, LA. It represents our desire to overcome fear.
In order to take the photo, you need to walk against oncoming traffic and find the center point on the I-20 east bridge. It’s our most dangerous photo and should be labeled ‘Death for the City.’
Cook’s Playground
We played on tire swings and other equipment before this RL Cook Playground was built.
