Site Revisions, Content Shift, New Initiative, and More Updates

Hello citizens!

It’s September, and we’re excited…2020 is reaching its end! Hurricane Laura slowed us down recently, but events in Ruston, LA are beginning to pick back up as students move in for fall quarter at Louisiana Tech University.

It’s time to buckle down and grind it out until the end of the year. Twenty-twenty has been a doozy, and we’re ready to finish it out strong with some functional adjustments to bring us up-to-code, per se.

Site Revisions

We recently made several key revisions to the PeachTown website. Now is a great time to visit if you haven’t been in a while. You’ll find all our best content front and center as well as a few surprises along the way!

Notable changes:

  • Home page redesign
  • Blog page redesign
  • Various HTML and CSS tweaks and fixes
  • New Explore, Beastiary, and Shroomdex pages
  • Article overhauls

As you may remember, PeachTown has always had an experimental design. We’re not finished experimenting!

Content Shift

In addition to the blog, we hope you’ve enjoyed the social media adventures we’ve been bringing you! We’ve had the opportunity to explore some fascinating locations around Lincoln Parish. A few of our trail hikes were caught on camera!

Lincoln Parish Park

Our park visits and escapades around downtown Ruston, LA have been thrilling, and while we plan to continue, we also want to challenge ourselves in a new, unspoken capacity. Stay on the lookout for brand new blog post types and interviews from Ruston and other areas of Louisiana!

Facebook Initiative

Our goal is to bring more attention our Facebook page, and we need your help! You can be a part of our journey by spreading the word about PeachTown and connecting others with small-town Louisiana. Tell your friends and family about our blog and help Ruston, LA stand out as the most charming city in the southern states. Follow us on social media and share our posts as we try to reach out to as many citizens as possible. Sign up for the newsletter and make your citizenship official. Thanks again, and see you around!
