Years ago, I was shopping in an Urban Outfitters when I came across a bin of ENO hammocks. That was when hammocks were first coming back in style, and the idea of owning a pre-packed lounge I could carry in my backpack and set up wherever I wanted was captivating. For one reason or the other, I passed on it and regretted my decision for a long time…
Fortunately, I was gifted one for Christmas a couple of years later, and it’s been with me ever since.
In this ENO hammock review, we’re going to look at the SingleNest hammock and point out its pros and cons. By the end, you’ll know whether or not owning a hammock is for you. You may wanna take notes, because someone you know may want one! Let’s begin!

Overview
What are ENO hammocks?
ENO, short for Eagles Nest Outfitters, is an outdoor sporting goods company. Their portable nylon hammocks are loved by people who enjoy hammocking in public parks, campgrounds, and other outdoor areas.
What are they made of?
These hammocks are made of nylon tafetta. It’s a strong synthetic material with many resistances that make it suitable for outdoor use.
I’m scared of hammocks.
A lot of people who haven’t tried them are, so that’s understandable. These hammock are designed to hold up to 400 lbs. As long as you’re under the threshold, you should give it a go. You’ll be glad you did!
Our ENO Hammock Review
So…after using this hammock for several months, carrying it back and forth from home to parks and back again…
It’s definitely worth it! You can find photos of it in use all over the PeachTown Instagram account. I was able to use it all over town, especially in parks. With the strap suspension system, you can set it up in less than 5 minutes and be on your way to peace and relaxation.
Note: Hideaway Park of Ruston, LA has a hammock station that lets you set up with others. It’s the perfect place to set up, but watch out…some people playing disc golf don’t know how to aim!
Aesthetic [4.5 out of 5]
There isn’t much to the hammocks aesthetic, but that’s standard with hammocks of this kind. It’s 2 or 3-tone and comes in 17 different color combinations. You’re sure to find one you like, which is why we can’t fault it for being what it is. I mean…how many color options is enough? 30?…
We lucked out and got a PeachTown orange/blue combination that works for us. It’s hard to to find online, but I’m sure you can if you do some digging.
Durability [4 out of 5]
If you take care of your hammock and keep it wrapped up when not in use, it will last you years. Be careful, because like any material, it can develop micro tears when mishandled. Mine did, even with proper care. It’s not a big deal for now, but I an imagine they will widen over time. The good news is these hammocks are known to hold up extremely well, which is why we’re honoring them in this ENO hammock review!
Functionality [5 out of 5]
Functionality is where ENO hammocks shine, because they fold up into themselves and are easy to carry around with you wherever you go. You can through one in your backpack and take it to the park. You can through one in your beach bag and take it to the ocean. They’re easy to fit in small places, and sometimes you’ll forget they’re there. If you get the optional ENO strap system, you can literally set them up anywhere you go!
Price [4 out of 5]
There are cheaper alternatives, but the downside is they’ll be made with inferior craftsmanship. ENO hammocks hold up well at the seams; whereas products from China are likely begin loosening quickly. Despite the micro tears mentioned above, the stitching shows no signs of wear. ENO’s are a little more expensive, but the price is justified.
The Verdict [4.4/5]
You’ll learn more about this hammock by testing one out than you will by reading this ENO hammock review. Hammocking is a lot of fun, once you start, you’ll love the freedom it gives you to set up and relax in the outdoors. If you’ve yet to jump on the bandwagon, now is the time!
